Starting as an artisan company that was established based on the skills of its founders, the Mariani brothers, today the company has transformed itself into an industry that is a leader in its sector thanks to the investments, research, technological and productive evolution that was strongly promoted to meet the needs of the end users.
Structured with two production facilities, the distribution centre and headquarters are located in the industrial zone on the outskirts of Milano Nord, Fratelli Mariani has defined and established its strengths in creating metal products targeted towards a large market that is increasingly demanding, innovative and technological.
Fratelli Mariani SpA was established by the brothers Battista and Pasquale in Erno di Veleso, a well-known area near the Como lake where the weaving tradition has been closely connected with the skills in working metal wires.
Administrative Office It became immediately necessary to make the entrepreneurial idea operative. The administrative office was transferred to Milan, the strategical base and heart of Italian entrepreneurship. At the same time, the production of the wire mesh was started in the Lezzeno (Como) facility.
In Northeastern Africa
Following the development of the market and the colonial expansion of the times, Fratelli Mariani SpA opened a branch in Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, where it produced and sold its products.
New production area
The company felt the need to grow further in order to comply with the international standards and the requests of the new emerging market. As a result, the new production area was built in Bresso for the production of expanded metal.
Milan office expansion
At this point, the company was among the leading European companies in the production of wire mesh and expanded metal, and Fratelli Mariani SpA enlarged the central office in Milan in order to optimally respond to the increasing needs of the commercial area.
New headquarters in Cormano (Milan)
At the start of the new millennium, aware of the social-political changes related to the achievement of the single market, the company decided to carry out a significant internal reorganisation project. The new headquarters were established in Cormano (Mi), which includes the commercial, logistics and administrative divisions. It was also the year of upgrading to ISO 9001:2000 certification. The aim is to become the brand of reference in the sector by bringing together the resources and personnel in a modern and technologically advanced structure.
Launch of the new brand: MARIANItech® Architectural Solutions
Fratelli Mariani SpA, a company that has always been sensitive to changes in the world-wide social economic situation, realises that the market does not only require the functional aspects of the product, but also decorative ones. This led to the establishment of the MARIANItech® Architectural Solutions brand.
Fratelli Mariani SpA becomes a Green Building Council member
Fratelli Mariani SpA, always careful to respect current regulations, continuously invests in the research and development of products that are increasingly eco-sustainable and useful for energy savings: it becomes a member of the Green Building Council. The products of the MARIANItech® line are made out of completely recyclable materials, implementing its new designs according to the latest environmental standards and provide an important contribution also in the reduction of emissions, promoting the coverage and solar protection of buildings, thereby limiting the related electrical consumption.

Fratelli Mariani SpA purchases the Expanded metal division of Schaefer Werke GmbH, company of reference in Germany: an addition of skills that expands upon the product range and offers innovative treatments and processes, reinforcing the Group’s international position.
ISO 9001: 2015 CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY.
Management considers the Quality Management System as a key element for stimulating improvement in the quality of processes and products, increasing competitiveness and company efficiency.
In 1995 Fratelli Mariani obtains certification according to standard ISO 9002:94 from BVQI Italia, accredited by SINCERT then ACCREDIA. The quality system was then adjusted to the regulatory evolutions (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 ).
The new standard introduced the monitoring of customer satisfaction: various tools are used to evaluate feedback and analyse data, making it possible to understand customer expectations and requirements, in order to satisfy them better.
